Former footballer Igor Korneev assessed Arsen Zakharyan’s prospects at Real Sociedad after the coaching change. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to the expert, under Pellegrino Matarazzo the Russian midfielder may struggle to get regular playing time. Korneev pointed to the decisions in the match against Getafe: despite numerous substitutions, Zakharyan did not come on.
“If the team completely dominated in the first half, I didn’t understand why the coach made so many changes. With the new coach, Zakharyan’s chances of getting on the pitch will apparently become even smaller,” Korneev said on Match TV.
On Friday, Real Sociedad beat Getafe 2–1, while Zakharyan spent the entire match on the bench.
