In the 10th minute, Julian Ryerson played a low cross from the right into the box, Arthur Theate failed to intercept, and Maximilian Beier finished accurately from a free position — 0:1. The biggest drama came in the final minutes. In the 90th minute, after a corner, Nico Schlotterbeck’s close-range header toward the near post hit the crossbar. On the counter, Ryerson made a mistake while trying to clear the ball out of the box; Mahmoud Dahoud struck the far post first time and the ball bounced into the net — 3:2. But Borussia responded immediately: Marcel Sabitzer delivered from the right, and Carney Chukwuemeka—after not converting on his first attempt—eventually slotted it past the goalkeeper to make it 3:3.
As a result, Dortmund remain second in the league table, eight points behind Bayern. Eintracht sit in 7th place.
