December 20, 2025. In the final match of the WBC Grand Prix tournament, Uzbek boxer Mujbillo Tursunov was defeated by his Colombian opponent Carlos Utria.
The decisive bout lasted eight rounds and was extremely intense. Tursunov started the fight actively, attempting to take the initiative and impose a high pace on his opponent.
However, as the fight progressed, Utria adapted, improved his defensive movements, and responded with effective counterattacks. At the end of eight rounds, the panel of judges unanimously awarded the victory to the Colombian boxer.
In terms of points, Tursunov fell behind his opponent, coming just one step short of winning the prestigious tournament. Despite the defeat, the Uzbek athlete’s performance in the WBC Grand Prix tournament was deemed successful.
Reaching the final confirmed his high level of skill and competitiveness on the international stage.
