The 3rd round matches of the group stage of the Futsal Asian Cup, taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, are in full swing. In Group "C," the Uzbekistan national futsal team faced the Japan national futsal team and lost 1:2. In the second match of the group, the Tajikistan national futsal team and the Australian national futsal team competed and came to a 1-1 draw.
Thus, the Japanese took the absolute lead in the quartet with 9 points, qualifying for the playoffs in first place. Uzbekistan finished second in the group with 4 points. Tajikistan, having scored 2 points, took third place, while Australia, with 1 point, remained in last place - fourth place in Group "C."
Most importantly, despite the defeat, the Uzbekistan national team will continue the tournament: our futsal players will play against the first place winner of Group "D" in the quarterfinals. Currently, the Iran national futsal team and the Afghanistan national futsal team are in the same group with 6 points each. In the match in Jakarta, our team opened the scoring first: in the 8th minute, Shahram Fakhriddinov put our team ahead with a precise shot. However, in the second half, the initiative completely fell into the hands of the opponents: Shoto Yamanaka scored twice in a row in the 30th and 37th minutes, determining the fate of the game.
