A powerful flash occurred on the sun

Yesterday, February 2nd, it was reported that NASA and US space weather services issued warnings worldwide due to a sharp increase in solar activity. Rapidly expanding sunspot number 4366 reportedly caused four powerful X-class flares on February 2nd. The strongest was recorded at level X8.1 on the evening of February 1 and was rated as the brightest since October 2024.
Experts say that such explosions may continue in the first week of February. Category X flares can negatively affect radio communication, electrical networks, and navigation signals, posing a danger to space technology and astronauts.
It was reported that ultraviolet and X-rays ionized the upper atmosphere, causing radio interruptions at the R3 level in the South Pacific. Shortwave communication problems were also observed in eastern Australia and New Zealand.
Additionally, the plasma cloud emerging from the flares may approach Earth around February 5 and cause Aurora at lower latitudes.
