February will be 2-3 degrees warmer than January, and in the mountains it will be 1-1.5 degrees warmer. This was reported by Uzhydromet. But the winter weather doesn't always follow the same "scenario": in some years, February comes with warm spring days, and early varieties of almonds, apricots, plums, and cherries begin to bloom.
In long-term observations, the maximum temperature in February was recorded up to 24-29°, and in the south, sometimes up to 30-32°. These records were mainly observed in 2016 and 2021. In this century, February 2004, 2016, and 2021 were the warmest months, with average temperatures 3-6° above normal. During the warmest periods, temperatures reached 22-27°C, and in the south, 28-30°C.
However, even in warm years, February does not forget that it is "winter": after a rapid warming, short-term frosts return. For example, at the end of February 2021, the temperature dropped to 10-15° below zero. The coldest February is 2014: the average temperature was 4-8° below normal, in most regions the minimum temperature dropped to 17-22° below zero, in the north to 25-30° below zero.
