Ninth-grader launches armed attack in Russia

This incident, where the student allegedly used a pneumatic weapon and a firecracker, sparked widespread discussion in Russia.
Local law enforcement agencies and media sources reported an armed incident involving a ninth-grade student at City Gymnasium No. 16 in Ufa, Russia.
According to preliminary information, the student entered the educational institution with a plastic pneumatic weapon and a firecracker. During the lesson, several shots were fired at the teacher and three classmates. There is also information that a sound similar to an explosion was heard.
The report of the incident was received around 11:00 local time. Police, the Russian National Guard, and emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. The school territory is under control, and access is temporarily restricted.
According to Ural Kilsenbayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan, no one was injured in the incident. The suspected student was reportedly detained by law enforcement agencies.
In connection with this situation, investigative bodies have initiated a number of criminal cases, including investigations based on articles related to the negligence of officials.
Recall that in December, it was reported that a ninth-grade student, armed with a knife, attacked a ten-year-old Tajik student at a school in the Odintsevo district. It was reported that a fourth-grade student died as a result of that tragedy.
