On December 31 at 02:28 (Tashkent time), the Saudi Pro League match between Al Ettifaq and Al Nassr ended 2–2. The game was once again remembered for another historic milestone by Cristiano Ronaldo — he registered the 957th goal of his professional career. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.
In the first half, the hosts opened the scoring: a precise strike from Georginio Wijnaldum put Al Ettifaq ahead. After the break, Al Nassr increased the pressure, changed the rhythm of the game and managed to turn the situation in their favor in a short time.
In the 48th minute, João Félix equalized after a pass from Gabriel. In the 67th minute, the Portuguese star was in the spotlight again: after Félix’s shot, the ball took a deflection off Ronaldo, changed direction and went into the net — it was Ronaldo’s 957th goal.
However, Al Nassr failed to hold on to the lead. In the 80th minute, Wijnaldum scored again to complete a brace and secure a draw for his team. Late in the match, Ronaldo had another chance, but the hosts’ goalkeeper reacted confidently and saved the shot.
