Gabriel closes in on Arsenal defenders’ Premier League record

As a result, Gabriel’s Premier League goal tally for Arsenal reached 19, lifting him to second place in the club’s history among centre-backs. The record still belongs to Frenchman Laurent Koscielny — 22 goals. Third is Thomas Vermaelen with 13 goals.

Gabriel has been representing Arsenal since 2020. In the current English league season, the 28-year-old has scored twice in 13 matches.
