Ronaldo scores as Al Nassr drop points for the first time this season

A near-sensational result was recorded in Round 12 of the Saudi Pro League. Leaders Al Nassr failed to win for the first time this season. Ronaldo and his teammates were forced to settle for a 2–2 draw away against Al Ittifaq.

For the hosts, Georginio Wijnaldum—well known to fans for his time at Liverpool—proved to be the true leader. He opened the scoring in the first half and struck again after the break to save his team from defeat.

For the visitors, Joao Felix and captain Cristiano Ronaldo got on the scoresheet. Ronaldo’s goal, in particular, revived Al Nassr’s hopes of victory.

But a tense moment unfolded in stoppage time. In the 90+3rd minute, Kingsley Coman created a dangerous chance; however, despite enjoying a clear advantage throughout the match, Al Nassr failed to deliver the decisive blow.

Even so, Al Nassr remain top of the table with 31 points. However, if their main rivals Al Hilal win their game in hand, the gap could be cut to two points.
