Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta spoke about the details of the match after the emphatic 4–1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League’s 19th round. The Spanish specialist noted that the team had been creating enough chances recently as well, but in this game the accuracy of the decisive finishes had a major impact on the result.
“We’ve had enough opportunities in recent weeks too, but today the difference was clear. In previous games we struggled much more to score, whereas this time the quality of our final shots was high. That’s what decided the match,” Arteta told BBC.
At the moment, Arsenal have collected 45 points after 19 matches and sit top of the Premier League table. The Gunners are five points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. Aston Villa are third with 39 points.
