Al Ahly forward Hamza Abdelkarim is set to join Barcelona. According to journalist Fernando Polo, the parties have already finalized the deal. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The 18-year-old will join the Blaugrana on loan, with a €3 million purchase option included in the agreement. In the coming days, the Egyptian prospect will undergo a medical, after which the transfer will be officially completed.
Barcelona’s intention to lure the young Egyptian star was mentioned several months ago as well. Abdelkarim has made 9 appearances for Cairo’s Al Ahly, but has yet to register a goal or an assist.
However, he has been far more prolific for Egypt’s U17 national team: 12 goals and 6 assists in 19 matches.
