Shanghai Shenhua, coached by Leonid Slutsky, suffered another defeat in the AFC Champions League. In Matchday 6 of the league stage, the Chinese club lost away to Hiroshima 0–1 and were left without points once again. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The match was decided by a goal scored in the 78th minute: home defender Hayato Araki opened the scoring with a precise strike. This result marked Shanghai Shenhua’s third consecutive defeat in the tournament.

After six rounds, Slutsky’s team sit 11th in the table with 4 points. Hiroshima, with 11 points, moved up to third place.
