Another sensational development in the world of technology — Tesla, led by Ilon Mask, has announced the start of mass production for its futuristic robotaxi, the Cybercab. This innovative electric vehicle was first introduced in 2024 and is already generating significant interest.
The Cybercab differs radically from conventional cars. It completely lacks traditional controls such as a steering wheel and pedals — meaning there is no possibility for physical manual operation by a human. It is a next-generation vehicle based on fully autonomous driving.
A short video presented by Ilon Mask shows the driverless car rolling off the assembly line and moving independently. This indicates that the company has moved into the practical testing phase of its robotaxi concept.
The vehicle is a two-seater, two-door sedan with a minimalistic and ultra-modern design. It even lacks traditional elements such as rearview mirrors, door handles, and a rear window. In terms of appearance, it resembles the Cybertruck style but is much more compact.
One of the most interesting features is the "gull-wing" doors that open upwards. This provides wide access to the cabin. Instead of a classic radiator grille, the front features a solid panel and a thin LED light strip.
Mask noted that the Cybercab is expected to be more affordable than other Tesla models. Previously, he stated that its price could be below 30,000 dollars.
However, there is a significant factor: official permission to use such fully autonomous vehicles has not yet been obtained in the United States. Additionally, the autonomous driving system is not yet fully perfected, which could affect the mass implementation of the project.
In short, the Cybercab represents a major step toward the future of transportation. If all technical and legal hurdles are resolved, such vehicles are certain to fundamentally transform urban mobility.
