Ugarov said these teams should have tested themselves against the Russia national team before qualifying for the World Cup finals. In the expert’s view, such matches would help assess their real level, and he named Russia as the key opponent capable of providing that benchmark.
Curacao, coached by head coach Dick Advocaat, will compete in Group E against Germany, Ecuador and Côte d’Ivoire. Cape Verde will face Spain, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in Group H.
