International competitions in show jumping, one of the most spectacular disciplines of equestrian sports, have started in our capital. Within the framework of this prestigious tournament, the qualifying stage of the World Cup and the Asian Cup competitions are being held.
The first day of the competition was successful for Uzbekistani athletes. Our representatives recorded high results and won several prize-winning places. In particular, Dilshod Shokirov, riding his horse named "La Bluye Rouge," outperformed all his rivals in the 110 cm obstacle height competition and was awarded the gold medal.
Silver medals also went to the account of our country's athletes. Anna Sigidina took second place in the 110 cm obstacle height with the horse "Elis G." Another of our representatives, Alisher Erkinov, achieved a silver medal in the 120 cm obstacles competition with the horse named "Cool dancer."
It is worth noting that more than 100 athletes from over 20 countries are participating in the competition. This further increases the level of competition, making each contest even more interesting and uncompromising.
The competition processes will continue until May 3. During this time, more battles for medals are expected to take place, and Uzbekistani athletes are expected to show even higher results.
In short, this competition in Tashkent is manifesting not only as a sports holiday but also as another bright proof of the development of equestrian sports in our country.
