President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree on preparations for and nationwide celebration of Constitution Day. The document approves a holiday program and confirms the composition of the organizing committee responsible for planning the events.
The celebrations will take place across cities, districts, and even in the smallest settlements. The holiday program will include open discussions, cultural evenings, festivals, and meetings with scientists, artists, and athletes.
During the events, the role of the Constitution in the country's economy, social sphere, science, culture, sports, and the protection of human rights will be highlighted. Prior to the celebrations, "Constitution lessons" will be held in educational institutions with the participation of legal experts and representatives of government bodies.
The events will be financed through local budgets, institutional funds, and reserve funds of the government and the Tashkent city administration.
