Uzbekistan Participates in CAWLN Eco-Initiatives

Uzbekistan is participating in four initiatives under the CAWLN program, with a total value exceeding $18 million. These initiatives are focused on managing water and land resources.
A $5.84 million project aims to modernize water resource management in the Amu Darya, Zarafshan, and Pyanj river basins. An additional $5 million will be allocated to improve water distribution efficiency in the Syr Darya and Naryn river basins.
A $5.6 million project is directed at rehabilitating degraded lands and supporting agro-ecological practices. A $2 million regional initiative includes measures to combat desertification and strengthen land monitoring efforts.
The CAWLN program unites regional countries to enhance environmental sustainability and adapt to climate change.
