Amendments have been made to Uzbekistan's Customs Code. From now on, products manufactured in countries with the most favorable conditions will be subjected to customs duties based on specified tariffs, regardless of the country from which they are shipped.
If a product originates from an unknown manufacturer or countries to which Uzbekistan has not granted the most favorable conditions, additional customs duties will apply. Specifically, an additional 5% tariff will be imposed on products with an ad valorem rate of up to 10%; 10% for products with a rate between 10% and 20%; 15% for products rated between 20% and 30%; and 20% for products with a rate of 30% or higher.
This law will come into effect three months after its official publication.
