
In January-September of this year, demographic growth in Uzbekistan continued at a stable and high pace. According to official data, among the regions of the country, the largest number of babies were born in the Samarkand region. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee.
As a result of the analysis conducted by regions, the Samarkand region became the leader in the birth rate. A total of 80,903 babies were born in this region during nine months. Kashkadarya region took second place, where 75,116 births were registered. In third place is the Fergana region, where 74,614 babies were born.
Also, 61,128 new births were registered in Surkhandarya region, 60,131 in Andijan region, and 57,881 in Namangan region. These indicators indicate that population growth is actively continuing in these regions as well.
In the Tashkent region, 49,007 babies were born in nine months, while in the capital, Tashkent, this figure was 47,703. Relatively low results were recorded in Khorezm region - 33,011 and Bukhara region - 32,624 births.
Among other regions, 29,523 newborns were born in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 28,484 in the Jizzakh region, 18,594 in the Navoi region, and 15,879 in the Syrdarya region.
Experts note that these figures indicate that population growth in the country remains a relevant and stable trend.
