
Special attention will be paid to attracting Uzbeks to work at enterprises in the Altai Krai of Russia, Dunyo reported.
At the initiative of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, together with the representative office of the Migration Agency in Novosibirsk, online negotiations were held with the leadership of the government of the Altai Krai of Russia and potential employers.
According to Yevgeny Deshevich, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Krai, Minister of Economic Development of Russia for this region, of the 11 thousand foreign workers invited to work in the Altai Krai by the end of 2024, more than six thousand are citizens of Uzbekistan.
Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov, in turn, stressed the importance of providing employment to compatriots in the enterprises of the region, including agricultural organizations.
“Representatives of the Department of Labor and Employment of the Altai Territory reported that there are opportunities to attract labor migrants from our country to construction, industry, agricultural processing, trade and other sectors,” the report says.
It is noted that two-thirds of labor patents issued in 2024 will be for citizens of Uzbekistan.
“The parties agreed to pay special attention to attracting citizens of our country to work in various enterprises in this region of Russia at the current stage of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Altai Territory,” the report says.
