A horrific incident occurred in India — a 23-year-old primary school teacher died as a result of an attack by a predatory tiger.
According to reports, she entered the forest to collect mushrooms and never returned home. Local residents began search operations and found her body in the forest, with only her face and legs remaining intact.
This case is another deadly tiger attack on humans in India. In July this year, a tiger in Sundarbans tore a man apart, and another victim has still not been found.
Earlier, near the city of Parseoni in Maharashtra state, a farmer also fell victim to a tiger. At that time, forest officials found tiger tracks at the scene.
In recent years, the number of such tragedies has sharply increased. Experts attribute this to shrinking forest areas and people moving closer to wildlife. Village residents often enter forests to collect firewood, mushrooms, and other resources, which puts them in danger.
In some regions, even children are forced to carry axes to protect their lives, as the threat from predators continues to grow.
