According to our weekly analysis based on exchange rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the next working week of October 2025, the US dollar depreciated by 31.66 soums against the national currency.
Weekly Dynamics
The exchange rate of the dollar against the soum experienced certain fluctuations during the week. In particular, the first half of the week saw a notable decline:
Monday: –52.75 soums
Tuesday: –48.09 soums
Wednesday: –49.13 soums
This downward trend may be linked to movements in international markets, changes in import-export operations, and shifts in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, the rate showed an upward correction:
Thursday: +90.27 soums
Friday: +28.04 soums
As a result, the overall weekly change was positive for the national currency, with the dollar weakening by 31.66 soums.
The Central Bank forms exchange rates based on market mechanisms and aims to maintain economic stability. Such currency fluctuations reflect global economic conditions, foreign trade volumes, and the level of domestic economic activity.
