Nizhny Novgorod delegation expands cooperation with Uzbekistan

A delegation led by Dmitry Starostin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, paid a working visit to Uzbekistan. Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on the development of joint projects in the fields of information technology, industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, and personnel training. Uzdaily.uz reports this.

During the visit, the Russian delegation held meetings with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, as well as the leadership of Qashqadaryo, Sirdaryo, and Tashkent regions. The parties discussed the entry of Nizhny Novgorod IT companies into the Uzbek market and the launch of educational initiatives in cooperation with the NEYMARK IT campus.

Delegation members visited the Chirchiq industrial technopark, where they familiarized themselves with production conditions and the activities of Russian residents. Currently, 28 companies operate at this site. Dmitry Starostin noted that the potential of this platform for Nizhny Novgorod enterprises has not yet been fully utilized.

During the negotiations, issues regarding the supply of food and industrial products from the Nizhny Novgorod region, the development of agricultural projects, and the exchange of specialists in technical fields were also considered. Additionally, the Russian representatives participated in the Innoprom. Central Asia international industrial exhibition held in Tashkent, where they showcased their products.
