All passengers killed in South Sudan plane crash

A passenger plane crashed in South Sudan, killing all 14 people on board. According to the country's Civil Aviation Authority, the tragedy occurred near the city of Juba.

The Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft, owned by CityLink Aviation, was en route from the city of Yei to Juba. Approximately 30 minutes after takeoff, contact with the aircraft was lost, and it crashed 20 kilometers from the capital.

There were 13 passengers and one pilot on board. Among them were 12 South Sudanese and two Kenyan citizens. According to official data, all passengers died as a result of the crash.

Preliminary estimates suggest that poor weather conditions and low visibility may have caused the tragedy. Search and rescue operations are currently underway at the scene.
