The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set new values for foreign currencies against the soum, effective from April 22, 2026. Accordingly, major foreign currencies recorded a further decrease against the national currency.
The US dollar exchange rate fell by 36.78 soums, reaching 12,060.55 soums. The Euro exchange rate also significantly decreased, becoming cheaper by 50.51 soums and set at 14,183.21 soums. The British pound sterling depreciated by 69.02 soums, falling to 16,285.36 soums.
Additionally, the Russian ruble increased by 0.79 soums, standing at 161.32 soums. The Swiss franc was recorded at 15,466.21 soums (-15.4), the Chinese yuan at 1,769.39 soums (-5.01), and the Japanese yen at 75.75 soums (-0.37). These updated rates will serve as the basis for banking operations and settlements.
