Namangan exported bee packages worth $700 thousand

Namangan region continues to maintain its leading position in Uzbekistan in the export of bee packages. Since the beginning of this year, 30 thousand bee packages have been exported from the region, amounting to a total of $700 thousand. According to the data, a total of 132 thousand bee packages have been exported throughout the country during this period, with their overall value reaching $3.3 million. More than 30 percent of this share belongs to Namangan. There are more than 4.5 thousand individuals engaged in beekeeping in the region, caring for a total of 348 thousand bee colonies. Since the beginning of this year, 4.5 thousand tons of honey have been produced. The production volume is increasing by 10–12 percent each year.
