Tajikistan is introducing tax incentives to support renewable energy sources. Until January 1, 2031, the import of solar panels, energy storage systems, and their components will be exempt from value-added tax (VAT).
According to the new decision, tax benefits will apply not only to the import of equipment but also to real estate properties equipped with solar panels. In particular, such properties will be exempt from VAT for five years starting from the date they are put into operation.
Officials emphasize that these measures are aimed at increasing interest among households and businesses in alternative energy sources, reducing the load on the power grid, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
