
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Paraguay's President Santiago Peña held talks in Tashkent and signed a joint statement following their discussions. During the meeting, the sides addressed key areas of cooperation, including trade, culture, education, and humanitarian projects.
Particular attention was given to increasing the volume of mutual trade, developing business relations, and implementing joint projects in the fields of agriculture, food industry, chemical industry, digital technologies, tourism, and sports. Additionally, a Protocol was signed to conclude bilateral negotiations on market openness within the framework of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization.
Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to establish a cooperation mechanism between the foreign ministries of the two countries for conducting political consultations.
