Blood pressure is one of the most important indicators in human health. There are several factors that increase it, which can lead to cardiovascular diseases.
The first factor is improper nutrition and excessive consumption of salty products. An increase in the amount of sodium in the blood leads to the contraction of blood vessels, as a result of which blood pressure increases. According to research, 1.7 million people worldwide die annually from heart and cardiovascular diseases due to excessive salt consumption.
The second reason is excessive tea and coffee consumption. Caffeine raises blood pressure and accelerates the heartbeat. Therefore, it is recommended to limit the amount of these drinks to two cups per day.
The third factor is obesity. The fat layer hardens the vessel walls and puts an extra strain on the heart. This condition increases the risk of hypertension and heart failure.
The fourth cause is diabetes mellitus. In this disease, kidney function weakens, which disrupts blood pressure control and increases the risk of hypertension.
The fifth factor is insufficient physical activity. Regular exercise dilates blood vessels and stabilizes blood pressure. An inactive lifestyle increases the likelihood of hypertension by 20-50 percent. Therefore, at least 4-5 times a week, 30-45 minute exercises are recommended.
