In the 15th round of the Russian Premier League, Moscow's "Spartak" team achieved a hard-fought 2:1 victory over "Akhmat." Facundo Solari scored a brace for the Muscovites, while the home team's only goal was netted by Georgy Melkadze.
"Spartak" took control from the beginning of the match. In the 17th minute, Marquinhos capitalized on an opponent's mistake and delivered a powerful shot, but the ball hit the post.
By the 37th minute, Solari accurately struck the goal after Garcia's pass, opening the score at 0:1. Before the break, "Akhmat" became more active.
Sadulaev delivered two dangerous passes, and Ismail Silva sent a powerful shot from 27 meters, but the ball struck the post. The first half ended with a minimal advantage for the Moscow team.
In the second half, the hosts tried to equalize by going into attack, but in the 53rd minute, Solari headed Dmitriyev's pass into the net, scoring his second goal — 0:2. Nevertheless, "Akhmat" did not give up.
In the 60th minute, during a corner kick, Georgy Melkadze headed in a goal to narrow the margin — 1:2. In the remaining minutes, the hosts intensified their attacks, but the Moscow team defended resolutely.
"Spartak" head coach Stankovich received a yellow card for his intense emotions. The referee added five minutes of stoppage time to the match, but "Spartak" managed to hold on to their lead and secured three important points at the end of the match.
