Gafur Rakhimov Elected President of WBC EuroAsia

At the 63rd convention of the World Boxing Council (WBC) held in Bangkok, the Boxing Organization of CIS and Balkan Countries (CISBB) was reorganized and renamed WBC EuroAsia, with Gafur Rakhimov unanimously elected as its president. This decision was made during a meeting of the WBC Board of Directors.

The main objective of the WBC EuroAsia organization is to unite European and Asian boxing and expand international cooperation in the field. “Uzbekistan’s participation in this new platform will further strengthen the country’s position on the international sports scene and open paths for a new generation of champions,” the Uzbekistan Professional Boxing Federation stated.

The new structure will focus on organizing educational programs for athletes, coaches, and referees, as well as launching joint media and marketing initiatives in the regions. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
