In the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, the decisive stages are heating up. As the quarterfinals raise the drama with every minute, the Vietnam–UAE clash gave fans a true “test of nerves.”
The match started at a furious pace, with both teams prioritizing attacking intent over caution. In the 39th minute, Le Pat opened the scoring to put Vietnam ahead. But the lead didn’t last long—on 42 minutes, Ndiaye equalized, showing the UAE were ready to have their say as well.
Goals kept coming in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Din Bek restored Vietnam’s lead once again. However, in the 68th minute, Menhali struck back to “restart the game” at 2–2.
After that, the score stayed unchanged in regulation and the match went to extra time. There, Vietnam fully showed its will and fighting spirit. In the 101st minute of extra time, Min scored the decisive goal to seal a 3–2 win and send Vietnam into the semifinals.
Vietnam will now wait for its opponent on the doorstep of the final. The winner of Uzbekistan vs China will face Vietnam in the semifinal. That means the next step is an even tougher clash, greater pressure, and a true test of character with the final just one step away.
