Inter defeated Venezia with a score of 5–1 in the Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia. Under the management of Cristian Chivu, the team dominated the game and converted almost all of their opportunities into goals.

However, Inter quickly responded and restored their comfortable lead. Mkhitaryan provided a header, and Bonny scored a fifth goal with a precise strike from close to the penalty area.
In the final minutes of the game, both teams made several substitutions, which reduced the pace of the match. Ultimately, Inter maintained full control and secured a confident victory.
