Guardiola names the world’s best team right now

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola gave very high praise to London’s Arsenal. In the Spanish manager’s view, the Gunners currently look like the strongest club in the world.
“Arsenal are the best team in the world right now. Look at their games in the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup. I hope we can get closer to them. And they will give us the chance to catch them,” BBC quotes Guardiola as saying.
Guardiola’s “best team” label is not without reason. Arsenal have been consistent across competitions, and both the results and the quality of their play make one thing clear: you can’t help but respect them.
After 22 rounds of the English league, City sit second in the table, seven points behind Arsenal. That means in the title race every round is a final, and every point is worth its weight in gold.
Manchester City now face their next test. Tomorrow, January 24, Guardiola’s side will host Wolverhampton. In short, talk of “catching Arsenal” must turn into action on the pitch—otherwise the title train won’t wait at the “station.”
