
The Uzbekistan national boxing team earned significant prize money at the IBA World Championship for adults, which concluded in Dubai.
The total prize pool of the tournament amounted to $8.2 million, according to OlamSport. Based on the championship results, Uzbek boxers secured 2 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
Additionally, two more athletes finished in fifth place. The prize money was distributed as follows: $300,000 for a gold medal, $150,000 for silver, $75,000 for bronze, and $10,000 for fifth place.
As per IBA regulations, 50% of the prize money is awarded to the athlete, 25% to the coach, and the remaining 25% to the national boxing federation. The gold medals were won by Asadxuja Muydinkhudjayev and Hasanboy Dusmatov.
The silver medalists were Abdumalik Khalokov, Arman Makhanov, Javohir Ummataliyev, and Turabek Khabibullayev.
The bronze medalists were Khojanazar Nortojiyev, Asilbek Jalilov, and Fazliddin Erkinboyev.
