An unexpected but alarming incident has occurred around Adriano, a former bright star of the Brazilian national team and Inter Milan. This time, not the opponent on the field, but fraudsters using modern technologies targeted the player's family.
It turned out that the unknown person convincingly falsified Adriano's voice and appearance using artificial intelligence. In this way, he convinced the player's mother to transfer 15,000 reals (approximately €2,400). That is, it wasn't through intimidation or "rough pressure" - it was precisely by stealing trust and offending family feelings.
The "Emperor," deeply angered by this incident, made a sharp statement on social media. In his video message, he sent a clear warning to the fraudster, stating:
"It's better for this scoundrel to return the money. I'll find you! Do not touch mothers, grandmothers, and family members."
From Adriano's words, it's clear that it's not about money - when it comes to family, especially a mother, both pride and resentment boil in every person. Nevertheless, the former striker soon explained the situation more calmly and posted a second video.
"I said this out of emotion. When it comes to mothers and families, one becomes worried. This is something called artificial intelligence, I don't even know what it's called. Today my mother was deceived, tomorrow it could be your family. Be careful. May God forgive him," Adriano said.
The most difficult point here is a new form of fraud. Previously, people might not recognize a voice in a bell, but now "both voice and appearance" are being created. For an ordinary person, especially an adult, this can really seem very convincing. Adriano says the same thing: "Today is my mother, tomorrow is your family."
Adriano's mother filed a complaint with the police. Experts urge people to be vigilant against such deceptions made through modern technologies.
The conclusion is simple: this isn't "only for celebrities." If artificial intelligence becomes a toy in the hands of scammers, every family could be at risk. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange with parents and grandparents in advance: if you are asked for "urgent money" - definitely call back, confirm with a close person through another channel, and never transfer money due to emotions. Technology is fast, but vigilance must be even faster.
