There are more men than women in Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of January 1, 2026, the population of Uzbekistan reached 38 million 236.7 thousand people.
- Women: 18 million 979.0 thousand (49.6%)
- Men: 19 million 257.7 thousand (50.4%) — that is, men are slightly more
By city-village:
- Urban population: 19 million 471.7 thousand
- Rural population: 18 million 765.0 thousand
Difference: 706.7 thousand — living in the city is more.
Marriage-divorce:
- Marriages: 267.1 thousand
- Divorces: 46.9 thousand
The oldest groom was 91 years old, the oldest bride was 85 years old. Women mostly married at the age of 20–30.
Migration:
- Arrived: 1,159 people
- Left: 10,117 people — those who left are much more.
- Births:
Last year in January—September, 664.6 thousand children were born, and this decreased compared to previous years.
In short: the population is growing, cities are moving ahead, and the marriage-divorce and migration numbers show changes in society.
