Former Fenerbahce player criticizes Mourinho and recalls his promise

Former Fenerbahce player Lincoln said he is unhappy with head coach Jose Mourinho’s attitude toward him and criticized the Portuguese specialist. Mourinho coached the Istanbul club in the 2024–2025 season. This was reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
According to Lincoln, the coach failed to keep a promise he had made, which he took as disrespect. The player said that before leaving on loan to Hull City he spoke with Mourinho, who told him he would invite him to the summer camp in Portugal. However, after the season in England ended, he waited for an invitation, and when he tried to get in touch via an interpreter, Mourinho refused to communicate and told him to contact the sporting director.
Lincoln added that while the team were holding their camp in Portugal, he was also in Portugal, yet Mourinho ordered him to return to Istanbul and train separately. He described the decision as unfair and disrespectful, noting that he had given his all for the club in many matches even when not playing in his natural position, and that after a serious injury he did not receive enough support.
For reference, Jose Mourinho is currently in charge of Benfica.
