Lincoln criticises Mourinho for breaking his promise

Former Fenerbahce player Lincoln said he is unhappy with the way Jose Mourinho treated him. The Portuguese coach led the Istanbul club in 2024–2025. This was reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
According to Lincoln, Mourinho did not keep the promise he made to him. Before leaving on loan to Hull City, the player spoke with the coach and was told he would be called up for the summer camp in Portugal. However, after the season ended, when he was expecting an invitation to the camp, the situation took a completely different turn.
After his season at Hull City, Lincoln tried to contact Mourinho through an interpreter, but Jose refused to communicate and said the matter should be resolved with the sporting director. While the team were at a camp in Portugal, Lincoln was also in Portugal at home, yet the coach sent him to Istanbul and ordered him to train separately.
The footballer described the situation as unfair and disrespectful. He stressed that he tried to help the club to the maximum in many matches, even when he was not playing in his natural position, and after a serious injury he expected support, but did not feel it.
“I may not be as famous as other players, but I always gave everything on the pitch,” Lincoln told Fanatik in an interview.
Jose Mourinho is currently in charge of Benfica.
