The head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, commented on his post about giving advice to Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin before the match against Real. This is reported by Euro-football.ru.
Recall that on January 20, Monaco suffered a heavy 1-6 defeat against Real in the Champions League in Madrid. Before the match, Karpin posted a photo with the Russian player, claiming he gave him some advice.
“I watched Golovin's game at the stadium, unfortunately, it didn't go well. The advice I gave was just jokes and sarcasm, nothing more. What advice could I give him? That's what the coaching staff is for,” Karpin's words are quoted by Chempionat.
This season, Golovin has played in 13 matches in the French Ligue 1, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
