A press conference was held at the National Football Center with Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro. Answering questions from the media, the Italian expert discussed the team's status ahead of the World Cup, injured players, and the importance of Jaloliddin Masharipov.

The Italian expert openly admitted that Jaloliddin Masharipov is not yet fully fit. However, he did not hide the fact that the player's importance to the team is immense. In Cannavaro's opinion, Masharipov is an important player not only on the pitch but also for the atmosphere in the dressing room.
"It is true that Jaloliddin Masharipov is not 100% ready right now. I won't hide it, but he is a very important player. I will do everything in my power to take him to the World Cup," the coach emphasized.
Cannavaro highly valued Masharipov's place in the national team. According to him, Jaloliddin has shown his positive qualities to the coaching staff so far and is considered a player worthy of being in the national team.
"Because he is a very important player for the team in the dressing room, that is, for the internal atmosphere. So far, Jaloliddin has been able to show me his positive sides; he is a player worthy of being in the national team," said Cannavaro.
At the same time, a final decision has not yet been made. The coaching staff will monitor Masharipov's condition until the end of the training camp and will then make a final conclusion on whether to take him to the World Cup.
