The club did not disclose a specific timeline for the player's return to the pitch. Sam Coffey has currently begun her rehabilitation process under the supervision of Manchester City medical staff. She will continue her recovery during the summer break.
Sam Coffey joined Manchester City in January of this year. She quickly secured a spot in the starting XI and played a key role in the club winning its first Women's Super League title since 2016.
According to the club's statement, the midfielder will prepare for the 2026/27 season and the 2027 World Cup qualifiers with the USWNT. Manchester City currently leads the table with 52 points, four points ahead of Arsenal.
