The English forward managed to surpass all European top scorers by netting 36 goals in the Bundesliga, accumulating 72 points. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland took second place in the ranking. The Norwegian, who was the winner of the 2022/2023 season, had to settle for 27 goals (54 points) this time. The top three was rounded out by Kylian Mbappe, now representing Real Madrid, with 25 goals (50 points).
Although Viktor Gyökeres scored 39 goals in the Portuguese league, he finished behind in the overall standings because the league's coefficient is 1.5. The top eight also included players such as Dion Beljo, Vedat Muriqi, Igor Thiago, Luis Suárez, and Esteban Lepaul.
Another Bundesliga representative, Deniz Undav, took ninth place with 19 goals. After Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in the recent German Cup final to lead his team to victory, Undav praised his rival: "You cannot give him even an inch of space. His shot with both feet is lethal. For context, Harry Kane has played a total of 147 matches for Bayern, scoring 146 goals. This is not his first Golden Shoe, as he also earned the award in his debut 2023/2024 season with the same tally of 36 goals.
