Roberto De Zerbi heavily criticizes Tottenham's squad

Despite securing survival in the Premier League, Roberto De Zerbi has launched a brutal assessment of Tottenham's dismal season. The Italian manager was scathing about the current squad, insisting that only a few players meet the club's standards. This is reported by Goal.com .
Tottenham avoided relegation to the Championship with a 1-0 win over Everton in the final round. A goal from Joao Palhinha secured crucial three points and kept Spurs in the top flight. However, De Zerbi is not in the mood for long celebrations.
The former Brighton manager is focusing on a complete squad overhaul. He believes that if the club wants to avoid such suffering next season, they must offload a large portion of the current roster. The coach hinted that more than half of the players in the dressing room could leave this summer.
"From tonight, we have to build and organize a new team. I think we need to change many players. We have only 10, 11, or 12 players who deserve to stay. We must fill the squad with high-level performers," De Zerbi told reporters.
The Italian manager wants to ensure the club never finds itself in such a difficult situation again. Having spent the second half of the season in the lower part of the table, the coach is demanding activity in the transfer market from the board. He firmly stated that a club like Tottenham should not be fighting for survival until the final seconds.
