Gattuso revealed to have rejected Torino offer

Former Italy national team head coach Gennaro Gattuso could have continued his career in Serie A. However, it has been revealed that the experienced tactician did not accept an offer from Torino.
According to insider Nicolò Schira, the management of the "Granata" held negotiations with the 48-year-old coach. The Turin club wanted to see Gattuso at the helm of their new project and offered him a long-term contract.
It is noted that Torino offered the former midfielder a deal running until the summer of 2028. Had Gattuso accepted, he was expected to earn approximately 1.5 million euros per year.
However, the Italian specialist did not favor this option. According to the source, Gattuso did not want to work at Torino and rejected the proposal. His next destination remains unknown for now.
Gennaro Gattuso left his post as Italy national team head coach at the beginning of April. Since then, his name has been linked to various clubs. It is natural for there to be interest in a specialist with Serie A experience, as he knows the Italian football environment well both as a player and a coach.
Gattuso is known for his character, toughness, and demand for maximum discipline from his team. His coaching style places great emphasis on intensity, physical preparation, and mental resilience. Therefore, he could have been an interesting candidate for a club with character like Torino.
But the coach's refusal forces the Turin side to change their plans. Now, the Torino management is expected to consider other candidates. The club aims to achieve stable results next season and fight for higher positions in the league table.
Gattuso, meanwhile, seems to want to take his time and choose a project that suits him. It is likely his name will be linked to big clubs or ambitious projects again. In Italy, such coaches do not stay unemployed for long — there is always demand for specialists with character in the football market.
In short, Torino offered Gennaro Gattuso a contract until 2028 and a salary of 1.5 million euros per year, but the coach turned it down. Now the Turin club is forced to look for a new candidate, while Gattuso keeps his next step open.
