SpaceX Cargo Dragon spacecraft successfully docks with ISS for the sixth time

On May 17, 2026, at 13:37 Moscow time, the SpaceX Cargo Dragon cargo spacecraft, launched as part of NASA's CRS-34 mission, successfully docked with the Harmony module of the International Space Station (ISS). A total of 2948 kg of cargo was delivered to the station, with 816 kg located in the unpressurized trunk. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The Cargo Dragon spacecraft will remain at the station for approximately one month before returning to Earth. The main difference between this spacecraft and other cargo vehicles, including the Russian Progress, is its ability to return to Earth intact without burning up in the atmosphere.
A powerful heat shield made of PICA-X ablative material, installed on the underside of the spacecraft, ensures its safety. This material gradually burns away, absorbing heat and protecting the spacecraft's hull and critical systems from high temperatures.
It is worth noting that this current mission marks the sixth flight to the ISS for this specific Cargo Dragon spacecraft. This is another significant achievement for SpaceX in the field of reusable space technologies.
