
Efforts to improve air quality in Tashkent are ongoing around the clock, the city administration reported. On November 26, 77 watering vehicles were deployed to clean a total of 485 kilometers of central and internal streets.
The administration inspected nearly 2,500 construction sites, halting operations at 890 of them. Measures to restrict the movement of trucks during peak hours were intensified, and 14 drivers were fined for exceeding permissible emission levels.
To enhance the ecological situation, 58 fountains were activated across the city, and irrigation systems were introduced in more than 180 schools and kindergartens. Public utilities removed over 3,100 tons of waste and cleaned areas around markets.
As of 12:00 on November 27, the air pollution level in Tashkent had reached 203, falling into the "Very Unhealthy" category. The concentration of PM2.5 particles was recorded at 128.0 µg/m³.
