Uzbekistan to Introduce Rotation System for Governors and Officials

Rotation system for governors and officials to be introduced in Uzbekistan
District and city governors in Uzbekistan, as well as their deputies, will be relocated to another district or city every five years. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to implement this measure.

Additionally, a rotation system for executive authority staff will be introduced in 33 residential areas. Starting next year, a results-oriented legal assistance system will be piloted in 33 cities across Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the activities of state agencies will be evaluated based on specific performance indicators and targets set by the government. These processes will be managed by the Legal Assistance Agency.

The agency will develop a public service management model and coordinate its implementation. Officials' performance will be assessed through the platform samaradorlik.gov.uz.

In addition, the organization will support the development of human resource potential and introduce a system for recruiting staff to government institutions on a competitive basis.
