The daily electricity consumption in Uzbekistan once again set a record

The cold winter days in Uzbekistan are becoming another serious test for the energy system. On January 24, it was reported that the historically high daily consumption of electricity was renewed. This was reported by the head of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Energy, Dildora Hoshimova.

According to operational data, the total daily electricity consumption amounted to 283 million kWh. Importantly, this calculation does not take into account low-power solar generation. That is, other sources may also contribute to the real consumption pattern, but the official record was recorded with this number.

The previous maximum was observed in July 2025. At that time, the maximum daily consumption reached 272.6 million kWh. Now the new record has risen significantly above that result, and this clearly shows how much demand has increased in the population and economy during the winter season.

The energy system is also maintaining high production volumes to "lift" this pressure. According to the report, on January 25, a total of 264.2 million kWh of electricity was generated at the power plants. It is noted that this was fulfilled at 103 percent of the planned indicator. Also, 246.9 million kWh of electricity was supplied to the republic's consumers, which also amounted to 103% of the plan.

Along with electricity, natural gas consumption was also recorded in large numbers. Natural gas consumption on January 25 amounted to 144.7 million cubic meters. At the same time, the issue of automobile gas filling compressor stations remains at the center of special attention: 1.5 million cubic meters of natural gas are supplied daily for the needs of special equipment and public transport.

Concrete figures were also provided for the Fergana Valley in this direction. According to the automated system for accounting and control of natural gas - ASKUG, a total of 81.8 thousand cubic meters of natural gas has been allocated for special equipment and public transport in the valley.

In short, the new record for energy consumption is not just a "number." This is a signal that once again demonstrates the real need for winter, the load on the system, and the need to maintain stable planned supply. Now the main task is one: to maintain the rhythm of supply even in conditions of increased demand and ensure uninterrupted delivery to the consumer.
